#Just wanted to show how wrong Damon was by saying that to Stefan. #How important is the verb Damon used? Win her. You know. He was used to #compel girls in order to drink from them or so that them would want to kiss him #and in season 1 he tried to compel Elena to kiss him. I don’t blame him; he was still in love with Katherine #But then it came the roadtrip. Damon had already started to really fall for her. He chose not to compel her. #he wanted it to be real. And it was. Because that moment gave Elena the possibility to reconsider Damon’s intentions #and to understand him. To see that his humanity was still beating into his heart #He chose the hard path; He started to reverse a century of bad actions. No one forced him; on the opposite #everything around him was telling him to keep acting like the bad guy. And; after a century of terrible choices #he finally made the noble one. He stopped using his hidden pain as a weapon and decided to face it #He decided that he wanted a true;pure happiness. #He wanted Elena to love him. He wanted her to respect him and trust him #A lot of people said that Damon is forcing her to admit her feelings for Damon and such. #He stopped doing that looong time ago. He does not want to force her. He wants to be chosen #He simply wants to be THE one; for once.
