We will always end up here. |
"My responsibility is to do what's right. Like it or not, we stand for something. We set an example for others to follow and if we don't, then we're no better than the people we fight." –Clark Kent, Smallville ![]() ![]() I'm Jessi Rose. I'm 18 and I live in lower Michigan, USA. Fucking hate it here. My sister is everything to me. She really is. I would not be able to live without her. Joss Whedon, Jonathan Larson, and John Hughes gave my life meaning. My shows keep me sane (enough), so if you don't like my constant reblogging about them, tough. I love my wonderful and beautiful clone/soulmate Leslie! Here's her blog: http://truefanger.tumblr.com/ I do not believe in God. I am not a very stable person. I'm beyond fucked up. I do stupid things, especially to myself. For those of you who bear with me and put up with my crap, thank you. It's nice, knowing that someone is listening. |
In teentitansnotes’ analysis of Fear Itself, they mentioned a theory that Raven has a fear of drowning. (The whole episode being centered about Raven’s fears, I wouldn’t be surprised if every stage of the attack was a manifestation of some kind of insecurity). The theory interested me, and right off the bat I remembered that in the face off between Terra and Raven, Terra exploits Raven’s insecurities (having control over her powers, being liked better by their teammates, etc), and it ultimately ends with Terra (attempting) to drown Raven in the mud water. Raven had been channeling her inner demon at the time, but once the water started coming up around her face, she turned back to normal and began to panic. Whether or not there’s significance to it, it’s still interesting! I can’t seem to recall any other situations where drowning was a theme though. Maybe someone else can.
That’s really interesting. Hmmm.
too(I can’t swim even though...could really relate
// God, I love all you people so much. ♥
Well, in the episode Wavelength, she said that she would rather drown than travel inside Beast Boy as a wale again....
Deep Six, when the T-sub loses control and begins to sink - Tell me something I don’t know. Raven: Okay. We’re all...
I’m probably thinking too much into it, but couldn’t it be metaphorical to her emotions? Like sometimes when bad things...
